About Us
Victoria (Tori), the Cat of the Day
Name: Victoria (Tori)
Age: Eleven and a half years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Abysinnian
Home: Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Tori is a love bug and a big mush. There is only one thing she likes better than food, and that is smushin'. She's a very self-confident, nothing-fazes-me-attitude cat. Snoozin' in her LL Bean bed by the fire is her idea of heaven. When guests arrive however, she curiously stretches into action, meowing to herself, "They must have treats for me, they are after all, sitting on my couch!"

I found Tori, or she found me, when she was five years old. She took her time to warm up to me as she was a product of a broken home. We've been buds now for almost six years, and our connection spans from California to Massachusetts (I moved her with me to Massachusetts from California five years ago).

Tori is an Abysinnian. Abbys are also called "red dogs" not only because of their stunning red color but because they exhibit dog-like traits. For example, Tori will come when I call her (usually), she follows me around the house from room to room, she begs, she let you shake her paw, and she listens to me intently when I speak to her.

Unfortunately, a little over two years ago, we found out Tori has diabetes. She's been up and down with her insulin, but has been in fairly stable condition recently. At present, there is no reason not to believe she won't enjoy her Bean bed by the fire for years to come. She looks pretty cozy, huh?
