This
is Maimonides (nickname is MonMon). He is a fifteen-year-old Cream
Persian who lives with me and two other young Persian females in San
Francisco. MonMon is an extremely special cat to me. I have never met
another cat like him, I believe they broke the mold after he was born.
He is very, very loving and expressive. He started out his life as a
show cat and became a Grand Champion. I got him when he was retired from
the "show life", as a five year old. He reminds me of a dog the way he
follows me around and is not afraid of anything. I almost lost Mon
twice, the last time was a little over a year ago when he had a blocked
urethra. Fortunately, my veterinarian knew how to do the surgery which
removed much of his urethra. It was touch and go since he was an older
cat. And now, he has slowed down a bit, but he is amazingly resilient! I
hope to have him for many more years! If you met him, you'd see his
uniqueness!
