Our
cat is Milly, she is a Siamese mix. When we found her, she was
approximately two months old, and unfortunately she was suffered from
numerous diseases: fleas, parasites in the ears, fungus in the skin that
made her constantly lose the hair, a wound to a leg, conjunctivitis,
intestinal parasites, and episodes of pharyngitis with very high fever,
that made us fear for her life several times so that we had to rush off
to the veterinary. Despite of all these facts she has always had a very
sweet and sociable character and she has never rebelled to the multiple
cares to which we subjected her every day: injections, drops, tablets,
powder applications, etc. When the worst of it seemed finally to be left
in the past and the various illnesses finally defeated, she accidentally
fell off the window (fortunately we live on the first floor) breaking
one of her legs. After three long weeks of plastering and a brief period
of rehabilitation she finally became a very beautiful and healthy cat.
Among her various characteristics the ones that stand out are: she makes
some real speeches with her meows, she loves to walk on the edge of the
tub when we bathe, she expects to be accompanied into her box for
meeting her own needs, she steals our socks to play, she succeeds in
opening the doors jumping on the handle, she drinks the water directly
from the tap, sometimes when we sing she comes and slaps us, and she
always wants to be cuddled.
