Greetings
from Parsnip, who currently lives in Raleigh North Carolina.
He lives with two other cats and a Great Dane. He broke a bone in his
pelvis after falling from a high place and had to convalescence for
about five weeks. But he is pictured here fully recovered, perched on an
outdoor swing in the yard.
Parsnip is very affectionate and tolerant of other family pets. He comes
when he is called and loves to be held and cuddled. When he was a
kitten, he slept on the haunches our German Shepherd. He also warms up
to new people easily, brushing up against their side on first meeting.
He is a great hunter and protector of his yard. He frequently delivers
"presents" to our back porch. On one occasion I saw him chase a full
grown Labrador Retriever out of our yard. Parsnip arched up his back and
ran straight for the Labrador at full gallop. The dog ran with his tail
between his legs, right out of the yard.
