Diego
- Legend-of-Zorro - survived liver failure at a very early age. He
makes every day special just being here showing us his big copper eyes
and with a tiny little meow...He gets hand fed a special diet
without fat... weighs in at approximately twelve pounds! He has showed
us how miracles do happen!
Diego is so spoiled... he comes into my computer room gives me a "tap"
on the leg a few times a day and races me to the kitchen, jumps on the
counter for his hand-fed meals - he's a snacker, a little here and
there. He does have trouble opening his mouth and scooping up his food
so Mom (that's me) helps him eat.
Diego is the instigator of all the brawls with the other three cats...
and sometimes bullies one or two a day. He is our official bug
police. No bug goes un-chased and exterminated in this house!
He has taught Columbus how to scoop food off our table to the floor with
his paw. That would always be white meat of chicken...by the way.
He is very much a mamma's boy and knows that he must be still
till mom cleans his face...and gets brushed daily...now he is very very
prone to a temper tantrum after too much brushing, so he will take his
frustrations out on the brush by grabbing it and kicking it hard with
both hind feet! Loves his teasers with feathers and has his own
tent to snag his claws in while chasing that feather... the tent
has a tarp bottom to it and he loves that sound. He also loves to help
make beds, and when we fold sheets he climbs in for a swing! We swing
him back and forth like a kid would. He seems to be very contented with
that floating feeling!
