This
is Dozer (short for Bulldozer 'cause he likes to ram his head
into things). I adopted Dozer from PAWS animal shelter in Norwalk, CT,
just over two years ago. I went in looking for an orange kitten and
somehow came out with a large, two year old, gray cat. Dozer came from
an abusive family that had multiple cats and dogs. They decided one
day that they were allergic to Dozer, not any of the other animals,
and so they dumped him at the shelter. There he spent a long time, in
a very small cage, feeling very unloved and unwanted. When I adopted
Dozer, he spent his first few weeks under my bed, and as I slowly
coaxed him out, he became more and more comfortable with me. Now he is
a very affectionate, gorgeous, sweetheart of a cat, who does a great
impression of a snake. This cat deserves more than just Cat of the
Day, he deserves a Nobel prize. I'd also like to note that Dozer takes
very good care of his new little brother, Alphonzo G. Kitty.
