Casper
(the friendly ghost cat) was adopted from a local shelter for
which I now do volunteer work. He talks all the time in a soft
purr/meow voice and loves to play. His favorite game is "Stairball,"
which involves me throwing a paper ball down the basement stairs which
he will usually retrieve. He also likes his big paper bag and
ping-pong ball on a string hung from a doorway. He brings me "gifts"
of socks from the laundry basket in the basement, at the same time
making loud crying noises. I can't figure out why. He sleeps every
night on a blanket on a chair next to my bed.
