In
1997 my family adopted two male kittens. They were both black except
one had a white spot under its chin. I named this one Spice ( because he
had a spicy personality) and we named the other one Luke. Spice was more
of my cat while Luke was my brothers cat. Unfortunately in 2001 Spice
went outside and disappeared never coming back. The other cat we had at
the time named Lacey also disappeared. Now only sweet Luke was left. I
now paid a lot of attention to Luke, most of the time I tend to spoil
him. But his personality only gets sweeter. Even though he is not a
kitten any more, he still acts like one. He is so playful, and he loves
string and ribbon. (That's why Christmas is his favorite time of the
year.) Whenever I walk near him he plops down on the ground and rolls
looking at you with innocent eyes. But just because he acts like a
kitten, doesn't mean he eats like one. Luke is one big boy. It would be
a tragedy if his food bowl wasn't there for him to get a snack from
every 15 minutes! Sleep is also a very important thing to Luke. Every
night he plops down on top of my head purring into my ear (and sometimes
snoring) until both of us fall asleep. Sometimes he will even sprawl out
over my whole pillow leaving no room for my head, but that's fine with
me. Luke is the only one remaining out of the trio we originally had.
But he constantly reminds me of both Spice and Lacey. These are just a
few of the reasons Luke is so special to me and my family.
