Here
is Ms. Choo. While taking my neighbor to animal control ten years
ago to look for his runaway dog, I saw a tiny kitten furiously sucking
on a piece of dry cat food. They let me take her out of the cage and she
clawed her way up my shirt to nurse on my ear. How can you resist
something like that? Adopted animals are supposed to be spayed within a
certain time, and she was too young, but they let me take her, (and the
vet took care of her as soon as possible). She found milk and canned
kitten food to be just fine when I got her home.
Choo got her name because if I sneezed, she would come running, jump up,
and stare at me nose-to-nose to see if I was alright. She still does, if
no other cats are around. She is an independent little lady, a bit
grouchy, never wanting much to do with other cats, and getting her
lap-time and loving when she feels like it. Being my oldest kitty, now,
she gets privileges; no-one else is allowed on her favorite nap place,
and she gets her food where she can dine alone. She is pretty good about
coming when called, so she gets more outdoor time than the others. She
has had a good, happy life, Of course she is loved as much as can be,.so
why say there is nothing special about her? She could be any homeless
kitty you see. Not a special breed, not unusual in appearance, just a
great little kitty that needed someone to love. Even the ones that don't
seem special, are.
