Here
is my kitty, "Akasha." She's very affectionate, loves to chase her
"mousies" (the little toy fur mice from the pet store), and she loves to
drink her water from the bathroom faucet! She's appears to be a mixed
breed, but I think there's Abyssinian and Burmese in her. Akasha likes
to play fetch with her mousies; only the small toy furry mice will do,
she doesn't bother with any other kind of toy. That is other than the
laser pointer. She knows that by the sound its chain makes, and gets
very excited when it's time to chase the red spot around the room! She
doesn't seem to care about catnip, either. That's including some fresh
grown.
Akasha is very affectionate, although shy of new people. She has her own
round bed which she sleeps in next to me, but by the early morning hours
she usually is sleeping right on top of me. When she sits on the
bathroom sink she will answer me with a meow when I ask her if she wants
water; she just loves to drink out of the faucet. But for whatever
reason she is terrified of a spray room freshener; just pick it up and
she goes running. When she was six months old she also loved to drag socks
out of my hamper and leave them by the front door. I think she was using
them to lure me home *:)
Why is she special? She came into my life shortly after my first cat
(Izabella) died. I had had her for nearly 20 years. I adopted Akasha
from the local humane society and she seemed to know there was a void to
fill and warmed up to me very quickly.
