This
is my cat Peeky. She hates when she is not involved in everything
her owners do. In this picture we were on top of our roof and because
she couldn't get up there, she was pouting. She's very good at pouting.
She's a good guard cat...she growls like a dog when someone's at the
door she doesn't know.
Peeky is very independent. She loves to be outside and in the summer she
catches a bird or mouse every two days. She's not really a people cat -
she doesn't like to be affectionate with anyone but her owners. If
someone else tries to pet her more than three pets, she'll slap them.
But she does have her loveable side - when we have a bath or shower
she's waiting at the bathroom door to get in....soon as we let her in,
she's purring and we just can't hug her enough.
She loves to play rock and Q-tip hockey. She steals little pebbles from
our plants and bats them around for hours...same with the Q-tips which
she takes from the bathroom garbage (which I had to move now). We
adopted her brother Charlie when she was three years old because she always
used to flop over our leg and furniture and look depressed so I thought
she needed a friend.
Charlie and she now get along but occasionally Charlie goes too far with
his playing around and annoys her to the point she'll hiss and slap him
out. That's when I get out the water bottle to cool them off. Peeky is
basically the boss. When she's in a bad mood because we won't let her
outside she takes it out on Charlie. He usually knows enough to stay
away when she's like that... when he walks by her he makes a huge circle
so he's not near her.
