We
got Mika from a friend in August 2001. When we got her, she was
sick. We took her to the vet to see what was the matter. The vet gave
her medicine and she has been healthy ever since. But best of all she's
nice to cuddle with and nice to be around.
The most special thing about Mika is that she is very curious about
water. We think she was a fish in her first life. Whenever there's
water around, there's Mika! For instance, she has fallen in the
bathtub and even the toilet. She always watches the water splash and
her favorite way to get water is to lick the drips from the kitchen
faucet.
Mika has a lot of personality. She is more friendly to her family than
visitors. When we have company Mika will disappear for hours and then
when they leave out she pops. Her favorite way of getting attention is
to plunk herself right on or in front of what you're doing. Mika lays
on books when someone's reading, sits on homework when we're trying to
do it and even sits right in front of your face when you're watching TV.
One of Mika's favorite games is to perch in front of the window and
chatter at the birds while they fly past. She moves her mouth quickly
and makes chattering sounds. It's the first thing she does every
morning. Mika is a very independent pet and we all love her very much.
