Namaste,
which is a Sanskrit word that means "I salute the divinity within
you." is pronounced Nah-mah-stay and is used by people who practice yoga.
The vet said she's probably a Siamese/Calico mix. I found this sweet baby
when she was about four months old bouncing in the Colorado snow one January
morning. She was about four pounds then. She took one look at me, one look at
the open door and made a run for it. She ate about three bowls of food and
chugged a bunch of water. I never found anybody looking for her, so she's
mine now! She's losing some of her wacky kitten ways. Phew! She used to
try to climb curtains and such. Now, she's a purr monster. Sometimes she
just sits around purring for no apparent reason. Namaste moved to Phoenix
with me about a year ago. She's my best friend here and always has a happy
meow for me. Nami (as I sometimes call her) is a spoiled, rotten baby, but
I love to spoil her! She has tons of toys and is the queen of the house.
Namaste's hobbies include watching the birds eat outside the window and
munching on fresh catnip. Namaste is very vocal and talks up a storm! I
adore her beautiful blue eyes and wonderful coloring. She also wears her
special claw caps called Softpaws, which are a humane alternative to
declawing. She thinks they are a sassy fashion accessory and is now vying
for a diamond-studded collar. We shall see... Namaste is very sweet but
does have a little bit of a princess attitude. She's quite stunning and
isn't afraid to flaunt it! I feel so blessed to have her in my life. I
love her so much.
