Bobo
is a Savannah cat, a new cat breed that is a hybrid between an
African Serval and domestic cat. Bobo's grandfather was a serval and he
has many features of the wildcat: big ears, long neck and body, and
amazing hearing. You can never sneak up on Bobo, he will always be awake
when you enter a room. You also cannot pick up one of his toys without
him hearing, even if he is at the other end of the house! He will be
there within seconds, hoping you will play with him.
Bobo is a very special cat and we adore him. He is a bit like a dog: he
comes when called, and he will fetch for hours if you will throw his
toys! His best friend is our dog, a beagle called Cooper. They will
wrestle for hours and race about the house. If Cooper is outside, Bobo
will sit at the back window and talk to him. A friend calls Bobo "circus
cat" because he will do amazing leaps and jumps after his feather toy.
But he can also be a lovebug, and when he wants cuddles your heart just
melts, he is the most loving cat at these times. Bobo is twenty months old.
He hasn't slowed much since he was a kitten!
