Nanette
made
her way to me by chance and now I think it must have been fate. I
decided to adopt a kitten through a local organization that places stray
and abandoned cats and kittens with foster families. I saw an adorable
Russian Blue kitty on the organization's website and immediately
forwarded my adoption application - but someone beat me to it. When I
spoke to person in charge of adoptions, he described another available
kitty named Nanette. His description of her as an affectionate and
playful kitty who would love to be an only cat peeked my interest. I
went to meet Nanette at the next adopt-a-thon, and fell in love. All
of the other kitties were squirming, meowing and fussing while Nanette
quietly sat and allowed her brother to chew on her tail. Once I held
her, I knew she was the perfect kitty for me and she came home with me
that day. Nanette is an incredibly curious kitty. She is fascinated by
water and thinks that my shower and bathtub are the best things since
catnip. She also loves to sit on my shoulder and watch television with
me. And while she only weighs about three pounds, she has a huge appetite
for people food, especially any dish with chicken. I could not have
chosen a better roommate.
