Arie
(Mainelypaws Aragorn P. Fuzzyfeet) is a solid white polydactyl boy who has stolen my heart. He is the
sweetest guy, always knows when I am feeling down or in pain and then
does his level best to cheer me up or comfort me - and he always
succeeds!
I feel tremendously honored to share in his life - and must give credit
where credit is due. I am sure that Arie's warm and open personality,
his trust and friendly greetings to all, is due in large part to his
breeder, Lori Kopanski of Mainelypaws Cattery in California. Arie is an
exceptionally well socialized cat, and was as a kitten.
When Arie was twelve weeks old I flew out to CA from CT to spend a weekend
with Lori and her family (she was so gracious - not only did she invite
me to stay with her, she drove out to pick me up from the airport
shuttle and then drove Arie and I back to our hotel (for the night
before the flight as it was a 6am flight!) as well as running errands
with me to get some items I needed for the return flight that I had
forgotten - all told, the Kopanskis were exceptional hosts and
wonderful people).
When Arie and I checked into the hotel room that evening, Arie
immediately explored the room and made it his home. He showed no fear at
being in a strange place, just curiosity. And while waiting in LAX to
fly back to his new home - well, let's just say that he was famous. He
garnered quite a fan club in the short time we had to wait at the gate
for the flight. And he handled all the attention and adoration like a
pro - as if he had been on the road for years, rather than being a twelve
week old kitten away from his mom and litter-mates and home for the very
first time!
As you can probably tell, I am completely besotted with this darling
cat. I thank the universe every day for allowing me the chance to know
this wonderful creature and to share in his life and love him and be
loved by him in return!
