Meet
my two furbabies, Rocky and Taz. I can't talk about them
separately, as they don't really exist separately. They are best
friends. Taz - the gorgeous all black fellow - was adopted from a vet in
Missouri when we lived there. He had been bottle fed with his brother
because his mother was not around. Taz was just a little spitfire when
he came to live with us. But when Taz began to grow up and I worried he
may be lonely.
I found an ad in the paper for kittens. That's where I found Rocky, this
tuxedo with cattitude!! After a few rough days, the two of them began to
understand one another. I think Taz probably explained to Rocky that, if
he played his cards right, they could get anything they wanted from mom.
Today, they are inseparable. They sleep together, play together and
everything in between. They even go to the sandbox together - one stands
outside and waits for the other to finish. When one is out of sight, the
other will howl and cry until they find one another. Rocky is the more
outgoing of the two while Taz is cautious and quiet. But, make no
mistake, Taz rules the house. Rocky may make more noise, but Taz is the
master manipulator. Taz settles in for long belly rubs and skin
scratches. Rocky enjoys a quick head butt and then he's off to play in
the sink. But they'll both come running if they hear the sound of
footsteps near the refrigerator!
