This
handsome lamb of a fellow is Schuyler, a.k.a. Stud-Muffin, as he is
affectionately called. He was a Birthday gift from up above and this is
why: I do TNR (trap-neuter-release) and in the evening two days before
my last birthday I set out my trap intending to catch a pure white cat
with gold eyes that was a frequent visitor to my yard.
The next morning I awoke to the sight of a white cat in my trap, and
thought I had caught that cat. When I went outside to get a closer look
I realized that this was not that same white cat, because this one had
one blue eye and one gold eye. I had never seen this guy before! So off
I went with him to the vet for his neutering, shots, etc. Turns out he
was well into adulthood, thus the thick neck and general muscularity. He
weighs about 20 pounds and is blind in his blue eye. Given his physical
appearance, plus the way my feline girls seem to swoon in his presence,
the nickname of "stud-muffin" seemed appropriate.
He is my swell guy Schuy... eager to be friends and play with my
other cats, and so easy-going with a splendid demeanor and docile
temperament. He will lay upon my pillow sometimes when I go to bed, and
give me a facial by licking my face, although it feels more like
dermabrasion! If I don't wake up promptly enough for him in the morning,
he has on occasion given me a love-nip on my face; usually my chin or
nose. I always reciprocate by biting him back, and he is so tough that
he doesn't even flinch. Strangely, he is the only cat I have ever had
that runs and hides from thunderstorms. That's O.K. He is still my
big stud-muffy-man!
