Starlet
is a two-year cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with Feline
Sarcoma; a virulent cancer believed to be induced by immunization
injections. The lump was removed and biopsied in February of 2001 and
she is still here after given million to one odds that she would survive
a maximum of six to nine months.
She is an exceptionally pretty cat with a somewhat unpleasant
personality at times. One minute she is purring while being petted, and
the next minute, her ears are back and she is in bite mode. We call her
Latin name "caticus biticus," but she is our lovely girl. Our favorite
nicknames for her include La Gata the Snotta, but we treasure the
moments when she allows us to love her, purring away with pleasure. She
is a survivor, and a beauty.
