This
is Miss Maciver Raine, Makki for short, our tortoiseshell cat. When
my husband found her in an empty parking lot, she was tired, and cold,
and hungry. When he called her, she promptly rushed across the lot,
jumped into his truck and went to sleep. We had some fur flying and
spitting when her sister, Haley-Bop met her, but everyone gets along
now. The first three days all she did was sleep and eat. She growled
like a bear whenever you came near her food, but never bit anyone.
She is now very sweet. She loves to be sat beside and rubbed, but don't
pick her up, she hates that!! She also hates the vet, she has to be
sedated to have her shots. However at home she purrs like a engine, and
gives kisses on the nose when you ask her to. She has to wash every time
you pet her, and if you're in the way, she'll wash you, too. She is very
loyal, she never leaves the yard, I think she's afraid to get too far
away from the food. She was a surprise, but a joy to have around.
