Miriah
was a stray that ended up on my front porch during a blizzard 21
years ago and she's been with me ever since. She may even be older that
21. If you looked up the word "aloof" in the dictionary, the definition
beside it would be "Miriah". In her younger years, she loved to hunt.
Brought me "little presents" almost every day. She and I have been
through a lot in 21 years and she's always been steadfastly by my side.
Most of her time now is spent eating and sleeping. Whenever I have a new
"beau," I judge how nice they are by whether Miriah climbs up on their
lap or not. Every night at bedtime, she curls up by my head and gives me
a kiss goodnight. She's the sweetest cat in the world and she's my best friend.
