This
is Spooky. He was born a stray under my sister's house in Gretna,
Louisiana. After a little socializing by my two nieces, he quickly
decided that both the nutrition level and comfort level were much better
indoors that outdoors and he invited himself into being an inside cat.
My niece Tiffany named him Spooky because it was spooky how he always
managed to get into my sister's house uninvited (except by himself).
At about ten months old, he took a plane ride to Virginia and has been
living with me ever since. He is very much an easy going, laid-back cat
and just takes life as it comes. He enjoys laps, being brushed and
taking frequent trips outside. About the only people food he will eat
are small bits of chicken, a little turkey, or all the tuna fish anyone
is willing to give him. He almost always meets me at the door when I get
back from work and prefers my company on his outdoor adventures.
Sometimes when I let him out and don't come out right away myself, he
will come back into the apartment to get me. Spooky's only real claim to
fame is that he is bilingual. When he tries to meow while purring
loudly, he sounds like a duck. So, I credit him with being fluent in
both feline and duck!
