I
would like to nominate our boy, whose name is Winchester.
Winchester's Maine Coon mixture is evident, which is obvious by his big
bones and giant, tufted feet and his sweet, friendly temperament. He
has magnificent whiskers that are about 4" long!
Winchester came to us from a no-kill shelter in Leesburg, VA, where he
peered attentively out from his cage's bars. He's energetic, curious,
but also still shy. He will bring his toy on a strong to the door when
he hears my husband coming home, and when picked up, he'll put his arms
on either side of our necks to be head-butted. He sleeps in his open
carrier, and on the end of the bed.
Winchester is our first cat with claws, but since his siblings don't
have any, he doesn't use his when they play-fight. Being the youngest
of our brood, he still tears around the house with kitten-like energy,
rolling and attacking the other cats with fierce energy. They in turn,
wait for him to jump off the bed onto his head, where they scream and
yell bloody murder, blaming each other for the noise. Winchester, as
are all our pets, is a part of our hearts, bringing great joy to us.
