Mindy
is a calico mixture and is a sweetheart all of the time. She
loves to watch Turbo, the Beta fish in his bowl and spends hours
sleeping with and grooming her brother. She has an awful habit of
waking me up at the crack of dawn every day and I never get the chance
to sleep in. She lives in Central California with her loving parents
Dave and Marilyn, her littermate, Scooter, and the two Border Collies,
Lucky and Celine.
Mindy is a lover and routinely makes bread on my stomach before curling
up on my lap. She loves to play with a little catnip mouse that is
connected to a string and carries it around the house with her making
little throaty sounds and meows like she has just caught something
really special for me. She also loves the plastic bands from milk
cartons and probably has 50 of them stored under the refrigerator for
later use. Her favorite place at dinner time is on the table right next
to my husband so she won't miss out on any tidbits he might give her.
Doesn't sound very sanitary I know but, when you love cats, a little
hair doesn't hurt. :-)
Mindy fondly teases the dogs by rubbing against them then swatting them
in the face when they respond to her advances. She and her brother
definitely don't like the door bell or thunder and hide under the bed
until the noise goes away. She's quite a talker and is insistent that I
respond to her in some way, either by petting her or giving her a
special treat such as tiny salad shrimp, her most favorite thing. Every
cat has their own personality, something that I've learned from having
cats my whole life.
