Grace
was a gift to me from my sister, after I had suddenly lost my dear
male cat in 1999. Grace was four months old and had been taken to a
no-kill shelter. As soon as I saw Grace, I began to cry, and I knew
that she was going to help me to heal. Grace is a special girl, she
loves to lie on my tummy and knead her paws in my neck... while purring
and rubbing her nose in my face! She can always bring joy to my heart
just by looking me in the eye! Grace turned four years old on April 10,
2003. Although she is the first of many more kitties who have joined
our family, she will always be my special girl!
Grace tends to be the "quiet type"... well, at least that's what she'd
have you believe! Don't be fooled by her innocent eyes, she has been
known to cause a bit of mischief in our house. One of Grace's favorite
games is to hunt mousies in the wee hours of the morning... come
crying down the hall... and drop them on Mommy and Daddy's bed. Come
morning, she is fast asleep with that innocent face that only Grace can
give, but we know who the little culprit was!
Grace has to be the most patient of all cats. She has had to accept so
many other kitties coming into her home, since Mommy does rescue work.
She never complains, just flashes those eyes as if to say, "here comes
another one!"
