Dudley, the Cat of the Day
Name: Dudley
Age: Three years old
Gender: Male
Kind: American Brown Tabby
Home: Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, USA

This is Dudley - his nicknames: Herman, Mr. Peabody, Frankie, Melvin, Osmosis Jones, Albert Einstein - well, any stupid name is guaranteed to be one of his 1,000s of nicknames. Dudley was my grandma's cat that she adopted after my grandpa passed away. He was very friendly, and cute - that's what my grandma liked. He was many ways like a dog. He would sleep with her very single night, and lay in the windows all day "guarding" the house and watching all the critters run about. When my grandma passed away in March 2000, we inherited Dudley. He has changed a little bit, he probably knows she's gone. He loves to talk all the time - many a times never shutting up. Sometimes when he licks his lips he can say my name "Laura," it sounds clear as a whistle. Dudley is also nocturnal. He sleeps 97% of the day, and is awake all night, many times making a lot of ruckus! Besides acting cute, sleeping and staring out the window all day-he also loves to go on little adventures in the basement, and come back upstairs with cobwebs all over his whiskers. He also loves to go outside and roll in the grass, on a harness and leash. He loves to slip out the door when he gets the chance too. He can't catch any critters-they are all to smart for him. What's even more funny is he's afraid of my rats-especially when they charge and nip him. Dudley is very strange from time to time too, running up and down the hall 100 times, running sideways with his tail kinked. One thing he is extremely skilled at is loosing his toys and finding them weeks/months later. One time he had a duck wing that he lost, we looked everywhere for it. Five months later it was laying on the kitchen floor-he found it. He is also clumsy too. He has a sheep-skin shelf on top of my moms' dresser, looking out the window. Sometimes he runs in the bedroom to fast, and jumps to hard-and ends up smashing into the window. Our windows can never stay clean either, if you look closely you can see wet nose prints on the glass. Even though he is weird, and can sometimes be a pest... we still love him with all our heart.
