This
is Jasper. We call him the feather, because he is thin and wispy.
He weighs eleven pounds, but is so long and tall that he has the potential to
be a much heavier cat. He was part of a litter of kittens on their way
to the Humane Society because the irresponsible owner who allowed the
female to get pregnant did not wish the responsibility of three more cats.
He was rescued by a woman who was adopting one of the litter. She did
not want all three, but took it upon herself to find the other two good
homes. Thank goodness for people like her. Jasper adores being petted
and will do head bumps for attention every night right before bedtime.
He likes to stand up on your leg to try to reach you, and being so tall,
he does quite a good job. Jasper knows how to play fetch and loves the
tinsel on a pole toy. He will run himself dizzy if you let him. Jasper
is a perfect gentleman and a joy to have around.
