My
name is Mikael, I am a Russian Blue. As you can tell, I have made
myself right at home. I am going to appear in my first CFA cat show
soon. I'm a little nervous but my masters, Mike and Bev, have assured me
that I will do just fine.
Mikael has a personality all his own, like all cats. He's very
affectionate when he wants, and on his terms. He likes to cuddle with my
wife every morning when she sits in her rocking chair having her cup of
coffee before going to work. He is an indoor cat but loves to go outside
whenever we go out into the yard. When I take him outside, I cradle him
on my forearm and he's very content to be there. We bought a harness and
leash for him so when we go outside he remains under our control and
loves every minute he can walk alongside our thirteen-year-old domestic barn
cat, Sadie. They are inseparable.
The only trick the boy does is every toy we get for him, he can hardly
wait to hide it under the hutch or our bed or any other place, just to
hide it. When we get out my metal yard stick he runs over to us because
he knows we are going to retrieve his toys from under the hutch or
wherever. He loves to camp with us also. We have a 31' Motorhome and
whenever we go camping, both cats accompany us, and they both are very
good travelers. Sadie has most recently started enjoying camping more so
since her brother is with her!
