Tigris, the Cat of the Day
Name: Tigris
Age: Seven years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Abyssinian, Siberian mix
Home: Munich, Germany

Tigris is a love-child and comes from a misalliance between a Siberian Cat only half a year old and an Abyssinian. So he has a rather unusual genetic mix which makes him such a beautiful, relaxed and proud cat. His fur is the softest and silkiest I have ever touched, it is ticked like Abyssinian's and colored like a tabby's and especially at the belly it is long and fluffy.

When we had read about him in a newspaper ad, we thought he might be the right brother for Filou, who was a single child. Tigris' human parents wanted him to make the decision and he decided to come with us by sleeping immediately on my lap with head and paws on my arm. He still likes to come to bed, lay down by my left side, with his head on my arm and purring like a Harley. He likes to stretch and show his beautiful tummy for a rub. It is a pity that he only can live inside because he would certainly be the boss of an outside cat population. He is thirteen pounds of muscles and the quickest to catch fur mice and feather whisks. My husband cannot stop to try to play rough with him although he should know that Tigris wins all the time. They are best buddies and read the newspaper together (Tigris, like many cats, reads with the belly). To make sure he gets enough exercise, Tigris can open doors and attacks his brother. But later they can be seen washing each others ears.
