Sealy
came into our lives in a couple of years ago as we had been
looking for a buddy for our other furry friend Vlad (Birman). Sealy is
also know as Doodle or even just the "Doo".
We find Sealy to be unusual in a few ways. First, she sounds like a
seal or dolphin (or even Gizmo from Gremlins) when she "talks" (perhaps
that is why she got her name - she was already named when we got her).
Secondly, she is quite the "high" jumper which I understand is unusual
for Persians and so it is not uncommon for her to be seen scaling the
kitchen counter or my daughter's dresser with such ease and finesse.
Sealy also loves to play in water and can be found in the kitchen sink
or the toilet (oops -- she even fell in one day) however don't even
think of trying to give her a bath! For such a sweet girl, she gets
rather ferocious ... growling, hissing and even trying to nip with those
tiny teeth ... when you try and groom her. Definitely not a good trait
for a Persian as their coats are a challenge to keep tangle free!
Sealy loves to play and never seems to tire ... heck she would give the
Energizer Bunny a run for his money! She will fly through the air to
catch toys and is quite the acrobat. Sealy's current favourite toy is a
straw and also the little plastic strawberry container! Sealy also has
the most amazing green eyes and tail - so thick and full and she always
holds it up with pride (she knows it is beautiful).
Sealy and Vlad became friends rather quickly and while there are days
when I swear they dislike each other, I know deep down inside that they
will be life long buddies.
Sealy is our special little girl! Here she is dressed as Ms. Sealy Claws!
