Hi,
my name is Cleo. My mommy says that I am the prettiest and sweetest
cat in the whole world. But I think she is very biased. I love my
Mommy. I came to live with her four years ago and we bonded
immediately. Before that I lived with my Daddy many miles away in camp.
He found me abandoned in the bushes one summer and kept me there with
him for a few years but he finally took me to his home in Nanaimo one
Christmas vacation and I have stayed ever since.
Sometimes I bring Mommy presents, you know, mice, birds and little
lizards. She really doesn't like them. I don't understand why. The
last lizard I brought home lived in her closet for two weeks before she
finally got someone to come and get it out. She didn't know it was
there, tee hee!! She says that from now on she is going to frisk me
before I come back into the house. Humans!!
I let her do anything with me - cut my nails and clean my ears. I love
to be brushed and combed and she gives me tummy rubs and back massages.
When Mommy watches TV, I curl up on her chest or her lap and we cuddle.
I sleep beside her at night and when Daddy is home I sleep between them.
I wake them up in the morning with little trills and chortles. In the
mornings when they shower I sit on the bathtub ledge and I have to have
my head massaged with the pulsating shower head. Of course that is
through the clear plastic curtain because I don't like to get wet. I
love to play hide and seek. I will hide in the clothes dryer or washing
machine or a box (anything that is open) and sit and meow until Mommy
comes to find me. She picks me up and says "silly kitty" and that's
what I wanted. When Daddy comes home I tear around the house like I've
lost my marbles and I really like to play with him, he's fun.
I don't like to drink my water out of a dish on the floor, yuck. I have
finally trained Mommy to have a fresh mug of water on her bathroom
counter just for me. She did that after she caught me drinking from her
mug. I like her to touch my food before I eat it. I am really spoiled.
