I
am owned by Sasha, a female Siamese cat. She is special because she
loves to "talk" and she always gets the last word! Sasha is also a
"Daddy's girl."
Sasha is pretty independent. She gives "lovins" on her terms and her
timetables. She plays fetch better than any dog I've ever seen, and she
loves to sleep under the covers with her head on the pillow right next
to, or in between, her humans.
She has one particular quirky habit -- she will only drink water out of
a glass that is on my night stand. I guess I started this ritual without
realizing it. Sasha always had a food bowl and a water bowl available to
her. I began to notice that the water in the water bowl never seemed to
decrease. To make a long story short, I caught her drinking out of my
water glass that I keep on my night stand. Well, now there are two
glasses on my night stand and that is the only place she will drink. The
funny thing is, she knows which glass is hers. (Note: the glasses are
identical). Go figure.
Her favorite toys are sparkly balls and hair scrunchies (pony tail
holders). When I'm putting my make-up on in the morning, she will jump
on my lap and try to get into the vanity drawer (that's where we hide
the scrunchies when play time is over). We have to hide the toys because
we have a water bed and, let's just say that claws digging for a
scrunchie between the mattress and the base of the bed make for "leaky"
situations. I've replaced two mattresses already.
