Cleo
(short for Cleopatra) is my best friend in all honesty. I found her
on the Internet and adopted her from a rescue shelter in Atlanta
Georgia. She was worth every mile and penny. The lady who had her said
that several people had tried to adopt her by offering more money but
she refused, she had already promised her to me. I had a best friend for
16 years (Pandora) that I had to put to sleep because of a kidney
disease that she fought for two years. I thought I would never find
another kitty that I could love just half as much as I did Pandora. I
was really depressed and lonely. I looked around at several pet stores
and local rescue shelters but nothing took my heart away. I had given
up hope...then one day I was messing around on the internet and wow
there she was with those big blue eyes...she stole my heart right then
and there. She's six weeks old in that picture, by the way.
Now, needless to say she is very spoiled and loves me dearly. She sleeps
with me at night, gets up with me to get dressed for work, we put on
make-up together (I have to look for my mascara and brushes - she likes to
carry them off in hopes to keep me home a little longer). She greets
me at the door when I come home, sometimes with her washcloth (she has
to have her face washed with a warm cloth every morning) in her mouth or
on my bed to remind me that she has to be pampered too. She also has a
little pink silky mouse that she puts on the bed to play with at bed
time when she see's me getting ready for bed with my magazine and TV
remote. Needless to say not much reading or watching television gets
done. Cleo demands a lot of attention which I give, after all who could
resist those big blue eyes?
