Emerson
Jaymes is very special to us because he came into our lives at a
very needed time. As my father's Multiple Sclerosis started to get the
best of him, the family had a very tough decision to make ... we had to
put my 56-year-old father in a nursing home. I was very upset and
couldn't get out of this "sad funk," until one day, as I was surfing the
web, I came across Emerson.
Emerson's family was very sad to announce that they had to put him up
for adoption due to the fact that their three-year-old daughter was very
allergic to him. Just by looking at his picture, I knew that him and I
were meant to be together. His owners only lived fifteen minutes from me...
he was sent to me from up above!
I went to the owners home and met Emerson who greated me by rolling over
on his back to show me his chubby tummy. I fell in love, and the owners
truly felt that we were a perfect match! He came home with my boyfriend
and I a week before Thanksgiving.
Besides bringing a smile to my face everyday, Emerson's favorite hobbies
include playing with Q-tips, sitting on the toilet while I'm in the
shower, and of course waking us up at 4:30 am singing his 'I'm Hungry" song.
Emerson Jaymes is truly a very special cat. Here, by the way, he's
showing off his "lion cut" which he got at the beginning of the summer.
I thank his previous owners every day for choosing my boyfriend
and I to be his new parents!
