I
was walking to a restaurant with my boyfriend when this tiny kitten
came running down the sidewalk in my direction. I didn't want it to run
in the street so I stopped and gave it plenty of room to run past. The
kitten stopped and sat down instead. When I bent down and called,
"Kitty, Kitty," the tiny thing ran up to me, meowing, and put it's front
paws on my knees. I reached down to pet her and she jumped in my lap,
closed her eyes, stretched out to expose her belly, and purred. She
actually smiled!
My boyfriend and I melted instantly. We put up flyers and asked around
for almost three weeks, but no one claimed her. Deep down I was glad.
She's grown up quite a bit, but never lost her kitten face. Her
favorite thing to do is try to fit into boxes that are too small for
her. That's when it's the easiest to get a picture of her. She is
incredibly active and keeps our family entertained with her constant
lunges and leaps into anything that could be a box or bag.
