My
husband deployed to the Middle East almost six months ago. Since then
it has just been me and Morty. He has eased the loneliness and heartache
by "talking" to me when it's quiet in the house. He sleeps with me
every night and wakes up with me every morning. He is always by my side
and loves to play. He also likes to play in the tub. It's so funny! He
skips around like a dog and is waiting right by the door when I come
home from work. Sometimes, he's meowing from inside before I even put
the key in the door.
When we bought him, he was this skinny little kitten sitting all by his
lonesome. His sister had sold long before him. When I asked why he
hadn't sold yet, the manager said that he couldn't be in any shows
because his tail is crooked. Well, I love his crooked little tail! As
far as I'm concerned, it was love at first sight. I am so blessed to
have two such wonderful men in my life: my husband and Morty.
