Oscar
adopted the Sagastume family when in July of 2002 at just three
weeks old. After lots of bottle feeding and other baby kitten
adventures he has come to be the "king" of the house. He enjoys playing
with his two roommates, Salem and Catnejo. Even though Oscar enjoys the
indoor life, he occasionally likes to seek outside to catch some sun on
the front steps or to chase an ant or two through the yard. For a young
cat, Oscar has been through quite a lot. When he was just a year old he
suffered from a broken leg but he has recovered wonderfully thanks to
the nice orthopedic surgeon that put him all back together.
Each night, Oscar hops into bed with his mom and snuggles on the heating
blanket until about 1 am when the three amigos (Oscar, Catnejo, and
Salem) begin to play something that we have lovingly come to call
"Fighter Cats". Once he is all tired out he returns to bed until it is
time to be his mommy's automatic alarm clock with his growling, hungry
tummy and his purring engine.
