Legend
is the best cat I could ever wish for. He is sweet, loving, loves to
give kisses. He even plays fetch! He runs after his little ball, brings
it back in his mouth, and drops it in your lap, ready to do it over
again. He is often sitting in my lap, helping me check my e-mail, or
watching me play cards. He gets along great with my other cats. All
around, he is the sweetest. most loveable kitten ever.
Legend, his two brothers, his mom, and his dad were all living in a small
feral colony in our back yard. Last August, there was a big hurricane in
our area, and we decided that the fallen trees and power lines were
dangerous, so we humanely trapped them, and brought them inside. My
fiancee and I foster cats for a local humane society, and were able to
find great homes for mom, dad, and 1 of the brothers. We decided to keep
Legend, and his brother Willie, because we had fallen in love with them.
Legend and Willie were small and bony, but with some good food and
loving, they grew in to some healthy boys. Our house is rather busy,
with foster cats coming in and out as they get adopted and we take in
new fosters. Most of our other cats are frightened or angered by these
changes, but not little Legend. He is always coming in to greet the new
fosters, giving them kisses, and making them feel at home. He is our
one-cat welcoming committee. A few weeks ago, we were fostering a
ten-week kitten. Legend became his "uncle," following him around, giving
him baths, and protecting him from the other bigger cats. They were
inseparable until a week later when the kitten went to his new home.
Legend is not only a great pet, but a model citizen!
