Allen
is a sweet, mellow cat who keeps a strict regimen of where to
sleep when. He is not much of a cuddle-cat, but will grant my nieces and
nephews all of the time they want to spend "loving" him. Allen is
definitely a vocal cat and speaks his mind about anything from, "feed
me" to "get out of my chair." His nickname before we officially named
him Allen was "squeaks-too-much", as his meows were mere squeaks.
He is the official Lord of the House, reigning over all humans. We don't
mind being humble servants to this big guy since he is a generous lord!
The only time Allen is submissive is toward our kitten, Pouncer. He
will allow Pouncer the opportunity to eat first and Allen will only eat
after Pouncer has finished. He takes good care of Pouncer and teaches
him the finer points of cat-ness, such as catching flies, picking on the
dog, aloofness, and how to hide so humans can't find you.
