Doesn't
she look like the picture of contentment? Mia definitely knows
what she wants...everything...and lots of it. A roommate and I were
looking for a friend for our male cat and picked out multiple kittens at
the shelter before we picked Mia, but they all had applications for
adoption. What she lacked in first impressions she made up for in
personality later.
Her older brother left with my roommie and now she has a new little
brother who weighs almost literally twice as much as her. He insists
she's in charge, even though he occasionally pesters her to wrestle.
Mia has an obsession with water and putting her toys into the toilet.
Not very ladylike. She also gets into the tub while the water is still
halfway up her legs so she can wade around. She was carried a little too
much as a kitten (who could put a cute kitten down?) and now she insists
on being carried around, draped over one arm. She prefers men because
they have bigger laps, stronger arms to carry her longer, and pet
harder, but she puts up with me.
She sleeps on my pillow or whatever other inconvenient spot she can
pick. She has an overeating problem...she'll literally eat until she
makes herself sick, so I have to monitor her food. Talk about high
maintenance! But, I love her to death and can't imagine life without her antics.
