About Us
George, the Cat of the Day
Name: George
Age: One year old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic Short Hair
Home: El Granada, California, USA

My name is George Weasley. My twin Fred is camera shy, and there was not enough room in the packing box for both of us. We were held captive as twin babies at a no-kill shelter in San Francisco before we decided to adopt our Mom-Cat and moved to El Granada, California. Our vet calls us Domestic Short Hairs (with a touch of Burmese, thank you) but we know we are descended from those who owned Pharaohs. It did not take us long to train the Humans to cater to our every want and need. The Dad-Cat built us a palace and invents all kinds of silly games for us, such as Carpet Traction, Wet the Kitty (we love showers), Flying Carpet, and Fred's favorite, A Short Flight to wake up Mom-Cat and send her off to work in the morning when Eyelid Licking fails.

At breakfast the Dad-Cat Counts Our Whiskers and Inspects Our Uniforms before letting us out for the day to Guard the Perimeter. When Mom-Cat comes home, she serves us dinner before Major Grooming and Fondling. I groom beautifully, being a sturdy, sleek and shiny Cat. Fred is a scruffy, skinny (but shiny) Snaggle-Tooth Cat because he is a Strainer Mouth when it comes to dinner. Evening activities include Catching Moths (and eating them) and helping Mom-Cat when she works on her computer. Fred has Lap Patrol and I sit on Mom-Cat's shoulder and correct her spelling. After an exhausting day Fred and I select a spot on which to groom, shed and sleep. Life is good, and so are we.
