My
cat is the sweetest and friendliest cat I have ever known or owned.
She is more like a dog in the way she follows me around the house, jumps
in my lap to watch a movie, waits for me in the window when I get home
from work, and doesn't mind getting wet. She likes to drink water from a
running faucet and will jump up on the bathroom counter and wait there
forever until you turn on the water.
I adopted her while I was in graduate school and she saved my life.
During that time I was working full time and going to school and lived
alone. I spent so much time studying that I was about to go crazy when I
got home and no one was there to greet me or talk to me. I adopted her
after her previous owners moved and left her alone in the house with
nothing to eat or drink. The real estate agent brought her to the Humane
Society, which is where I adopted her from. As soon as they took her out
of the cage, her sweet nature made me realize that she would be an
important part of my family. And my mother treats her like her
grandchild! I had always wanted an orange kitty to name Sunshine and
since I felt the name she already had (Tigger) was more for a male cat,
that is what I named her. Everyone says it is uncanny how much that name
fits her personality.
