Here
is our special little cat called Tallulah. Since she chose us at
the Rescue Centre just over two years ago, she has settled into our
daily routine with great ease so it's now her that dictates the pace!!
We were informed by the centre, based in East Lancashire, England, that
Tallulah had been with them for two months with no interest from anyone.
They put this down to her age (seven at the time) but we felt that a
gorgeous little creature such as this deserved another chance.
On bringing her home she immediately surveyed her new surroundings with
gusto, making it clear she was here to stay. During these two years,
she has developed her impressive techniques of seat-stealing from the
moment a warm position becomes available, figure-skating across wooden
floors with legs and claws skidding under every twist and turn, plucking
the front door seal to bits to let us know she is ready to be in our
company again and last, but not least, finding numerous sleeping
positions on what is now her brown cushion (really a throne!) in the
centre of the lounge.
We find it incredible how something so small can bring so much joy into
our lives every day and her unpredictable nature can really raise a
smile on our faces. She has become an integral part of our home and is
much loved by everyone who comes to visit, although they don't have to
put up with the lead weight at the end of the bed at 3am!! We also find
it amusing, having read through the comments from our transatlantic
friends, just how alike these little friends can be even though 4000
miles apart!!
