This
is our adorable cat, Oscar. My husband and I adopted him from the
San Francisco SPCA last November, just one day after we lost our beloved
kitty Violet to kidney failure. Though we are still sad to have lost
Violet, Oscar has brought a great deal of joy into our lives in a very
short period of time.
What makes Oscar so special? For one, he is full of energy and rarely
tires of playing. His favorite toys are furry creatures which dangle
from a string. The first toy he fell in love with we named "Squeak"
because of the sound it made when Oscar pounced on him. One day I found
Squeak on our stairs, unable to make a sound. Oscar had taken the
noisemaker out of him and left little piles of stuffing everywhere. Then
we bought another toy just like it, called "Squeak Jr." Squeak Jr. has
already lost both his feet and one eye is in a precarious position. We
know Oscar will play with him until he's nothing but a pile of stuffing,
too.
Oscar adores Aquariyums kitty treats and knows that he will get some
right before bed and when we wake up in the morning. When he sees me
getting ready for sleep he will meow and rub against my leg to make sure
I don't forget him. When I give him his treats he eats them so fast, I
don't know how he can put them all down his little gullet so quickly.
In the morning when the alarm goes off his little paw will brush against
my nose to remind me it's time for treats. I give him more treats and he
seems very, very happy.
In short, Oscar is our very special kitty, and we love him very much.
