This
is Rosie. Rosie is a seven month old feral cat that I take care of outside
on my back patio. She is one of seven feral cats in this colony that I feed and
care for. They have all been trapped and fixed. Rosie is the runt of the
litter but she is a real pistol! She is into everything. She follows me
around the yard, waiting for me to get the hose out. When I do, she attacks
it, rolls over on her back and grabs at it, and just generally hinders what
I am trying to water! She loves her bed, as you can see in this picture!
Rosie loves to come up behind me when I am feeding the outside cats. She
thinks she is sneaking up on me and that I cannot see her behind me! She
will sit at the back door looking in, meowing at the cats inside. She is
just a little lover and a real go-getter! Rosie lives outside with her
sisters, Emma and Charlotte, and her two brothers, Simon and Charlie, her
uncle Peter, aunt Fritzi, and mom, Felix. She is also friends with Elliott,
Julia, and Henry, our three opossums. She looks from afar at Desmond, Molly,
Barney, and Rocky, the four racoons who show up every night to eat all the cat
food and play with the cat toys! Rosie is just begging to be domesticated
and I am giving it my best shot!
