Eight
years ago I found a calico cat living under our deck - that would
eventually be Soda's mom. It was winter, so when this cat (later named
Patches) started to follow me around we took her down to a animal-loving
neighbor's house. Less than a month later she had a litter, and as her
mom's rescuer, was allowed the first pick. I decided on the only calico
and seemingly the runt of the litter. Though looking at her now you
would never think that.
Soda is a very loving cat who would love to just be petted and sleep on
you all day, but is a bit wary of strangers. Say the word food or treat
and she will be by your side in a split second. She loves boxes, from
sleeping in them regardless of size, to rubbing on them to mark them as
hers, we try to have at least one sitting out all the time.
Soda has some very unique markings, which is a trait she got from her
mom. She has a white "milk mustache" and a black goatee on her chin.
People are always telling us that she should be pictured in calendars.
All we know is we love our Soda girl!
