Skyler
(SkylerBum) is one of three sisters that we rescued from a
lakeside boat dock. My husband, stepdaughter and myself were casting
for minnows when we heard a very loud insistent meow. It was Skyler's
sister Elizabeth (Lizzie, LizzieBoo, Dizzy Miss Lizzie). I am wild
about animals in general, but I especially love cats. I rushed up to
her, looking around to see where she might have come from but there was
no one and nothing around. We could only assume they had been "dropped"
there. When we got to Lizzie, Skyler came bounding out of the brush to
say "hello". Upon further investigation we also found Tabitha (Tabby).
My husband took one look at my face and said "fine". My initial idea
was to find them good homes after advertising in the local paper to see
if anyone had lost them, but of course I lost my heart to them.
Skyler is very special. She has a very unique look! her face is almost
perfectly split color-wise. She is a love and insists on being loved.
She talks all the time. I'm surprised she's not sitting at my feet
right now insisting on my lap. She must be napping.
