This
is my darling Ms. Muffit. Ms. Muffit is no longer with me, she died
tragically in January 2004, but her precious memory will linger with me for all
time. Ms. Muffit was a stray that wandered into my heart and home six
years ago. Sick, hungry, full of fleas and pregnant. What a sorry sight,
but with a heart as big as the world. I will never forget the night my
son brought her to me, inside his jacket and plopped her in my arms. She
never left them much afterwards. She became my angel.
Ms. Muffit slept every night with me, her little head resting on the
pillow while she snored softly. She loved ice cream and junk food better
than any teenager I've ever known. I gave her everything her little
heart desired (as long as it wasn't too bad for her). I will never forget
Ms. Muffit or what she taught me. She breathed love and contentment with
every little fishy breath.
I love you little chicken...
