Sammi
is an indoor-outdoor kitty who loves her tummy rubs and ear rubs.
We first found Sammi in a small cage at pet smart when she was four months
old. Despite her crusty eyes, ringworm (we had no idea!), earmites, and
three parasites, we immediately adopted her! The first thing we did when we
got home was give her a nice bath (not exactly her idea of nice), and
when we took her to the vet, we found out about all her parasites and
discovered she weighed less than a pound! For a few months, Sammi was a
shy, timid kitty, but gradually became friendlier and friendlier. Now
Sammi is a plump, healthy cat who chases us up the stairs, plays hide
and seek with us, sleeps on my bed, and wrestles with her new baby
sister, Puff. Sammi has also brought us little gifts of three mice and two
birds. One night Sammi just insisted on staying out all night and in the
middle of the night, my parents woke up to a screeching sound. They got
up, and sure enough, there was Sammi, frightened as could be, waiting to
come inside. The next day she slept all day. Now she always comes in
after dark - smart kitty. Sammi will always be special to us!
