This
is Tinka, our full-blooded Mink Spotted Snow Bengal kitten that has
just come to live with us. I presented her to my Wife as a present.
This is her baby picture, she was just ten weeks old here. Bengals are
very special cats that make very good pets. Tinka loves to fetch her
little white mouse and enjoys butting heads which is a way of showing
affection.
We live in the Ozark Mountains in the small town of Kimberling City, MO,
USA , where the woods are full of deer, turkey. racoon and fox. The
Bengals love to sit in the window sill and watch the birds on our back
deck come to the feeders. When the huge pileated woodpeckers come the
really excite our cats due to their size. My wife and I are Senior
Citizens and very much enjoy sharing our home with our cats which we
refer to as the "Katz N Jammers." Our children are all grown and have
families of their own so our cats have now became our children who we
love and care for, and who love us in return. Having loving animals in
the house is very soothing and most of the time very entertaining.
Tinka is a bundle of energy, loves to climb and jump, and always looking
for a drink from the faucet rather than the water dish. We have two
other Bengals in our household for Tinka to play with once they become
better acquainted. She is very small right now and we're taking our time
getting them acquainted before we turn them lose together. Right now
they interact at the bedroom door where they howl and purr together, and
yes sometimes growl. This is all part of necessary interaction as a
prelude to formally meeting.
